For Immediate Release
DriveWise is set to promote the XVR Incident Command System at the Firefighter Training Conference and Exhibition (FDIC). The event takes place at the Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indiana Convention Center, both located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Firefighters, fire department officials, and rescue professionals from around the world will see a showcase of the XVR Incident Command System at booth 9612 (located on the field of the Lucas Oil Stadium) from April 19th to the 21st.
XVR is virtual reality training software that educates operational, tactical safety, and security professionals. Students can “walk around” in simulated emergency situations and observe, assess, and make decisions concerning procedural applications. The instructor is in control of the emergency event; he or she creates, customizes, and takes part in the scenario by posing questions to students, giving feedback, and activating specific consequences to particular choices made by the trainee. Incidents and scenarios are built to fit a client’s policies, procedures, and their most commonly faced occupational risks. Scenarios can be linked together; this allows for interagency training. Trainees and trainers are able to see the consequences of on-scene decisions in a safe and simulated environment.
DriveWise will showcase XVR’s user friendly “drag and drop” features, its extensive library of 3D models, vehicles, victims, buildings, and gear, and a collection of existing scenarios that have been delivered to high profile clientele: “Our success with our new incident command system has been met with overwhelming market interest and positive client experiences. The ability to bring incidents to life with human “in the loop” virtual reality simulation takes training to a new level, “ states Lesley de Repentigny, CEO of DriveWise.
DriveWise will be participating at FDIC as part of Export Market Access. Export Market Access is an initiative of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, with the support and funding from the Government of Ontario.
