On September 27 & 28, DriveWise will be exhibiting on Booth 606 at the Health, Safety & Environment Conference & Trade Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre showcasing the EcoDriving program and how companies such as Fedex, Staples Canada and Pacific Western Transportation have partnered with DriveWise to decrease the costs, reduce risks, and maximize the safety performance of their fleets. By developing and implementing standardized, interactive and highly engaging driver training programs utilizing industry leading simulation technology, DriveWise has a 99% recommendation rating from its existing fleet customers.
DriveWise can examine a driver’s habits using software built into the driving simulators and teach them to adopt eco-friendly driving habits that include smooth acceleration, gentle braking, coasting to decelerate, avoiding high speeds and anticipating traffic.
The EcoDriving program is currently being used by Natural Resources Canada to teach drivers of all ages and experiences how they can improve their safety and conserve fuel at the same time. DriveWise has assisted Natural Resources Canada at a number of events across Canada, allowing drivers to get behind the wheel of the simulator and learn how they can save money, fuel and the environment by making minor changes to the way they drive.
“The simulator is a great way to show someone how by being fuel conscious, they are also driving safer,” notes DriveWise Senior Instructor Steve Overend. “Driving safely and driving eco-friendly go hand-in-hand.”
