Lesley de Repentigny
President & CEO
Lesley is the President and CEO of DriveWise, and one half of the vision behind the DriveWise enterprise. She attended Brock University and attained an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History. Lesley is a Canadian Management Professional (CMP), a Registered Professional Trainer (RPT), and a qualified Air Traffic Controller. Lesley has held senior management positions for over 15 years before starting DriveWise. Her last position was Vice President of Strategy and Services for Adacel Inc., the world leader in airport training. Lesley has sold, built and deployed nearly one billion dollars worth of advanced learning systems in her career. She has worked with NASA, the FAA, US DOD, Canadian Forces, Nav Canada and over 100 air navigation service providers worldwide. As the owner and co-founder of Drivewise, Lesley has learned the importance of providing consistent leadership and vision. On building the company from the ground up with her husband and business partner Martin, Lesley remarked that, “nothing comes easily,” and as a result, has learned the value of patience and perseverance in the entrepreneurial sphere.
Martin de Repentigny FMA, P.Eng.
Chief Operating Officer
Martin is the COO of Drivewise and the other half of the vision behind the Drivewise enterprise. His forte within the company is operations. Martin is a professional engineer and achieved a degree in Engineering Physics at the Royal Military College (RMC). Subsequently, Martin attended the University of Montreal École Polytechnique et Faculté des Etudes Supérieures and attained his Master's in Environmental Engineering. Martin also has a degree in Facilities Management Administration from the Building Owners and Managers Institute International. Before founding Drivewise, Martin was a professor at the RMC in St. Jean where he taught Computerized Design. While Martin was in the military, he was the director of facilities and operations. Martin also worked as the Director of Professional Services at ADACEL prior to developing the brainchild DriveWise that has evolved into a thriving business. As the COO of Drivewise, Martin has learned, “if you have a viable, unique, and a best-in-market product, with enough perseverance and hard work, it will eventually prosper.”
Steve Overend
Senior Instructor
Steve is a senior instructor at Drivewise and has been in the industry for fifteen years. During his years spent at Bell Canada and as a courier for Fedex, Steve gained extensive training in defensive driving which has benefitted him greatly in his career. Steve has completed his Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC) through the Canada Safety Council. Steve’s approachable and enthusiastic nature helps to make the students experience at Drivewise a positive one.
Katherine de Repentigny
Operations Manager, PMV
Katherine coordinates the financials and manages the operations of the Private Motor Vehicle (PMV) at DriveWise. She is currently completing an Honours Bachelor of Business Degree at Lakehead University. For Katherine, everyday at Drivewise is a valuable learning experience as she is constantly faced with new challenges and obstacles, which she overcomes with optimism. Katherine has gained much experience at DriveWise through her training in customer service and practical application of many other skills. She is a business savvy individual who others find approachable and cheerful.
Matt Davis
Product and Services Manager
Matt is the customer support manager at Drivewise. He specializes in customer support and provides training for simulator buyers who require training. Matt has a diploma in Computer Programming from Georgian College and has completed the PDIC instructor course. Prior to his position as the Product and Services Manager at DriveWise, Matt worked in the telecommunication and information sector of the Canadian Forces in Base Borden (CFB). This role gave Matt the opportunity to strengthen his customer service skills. Matt’s time spent at Drivewise has further developed his ability to provide advanced customer support.
Ron Hood
Master Instructor
Ron brings over twenty five years of Driver Education experience. Holding the accreditation of Master Driving Instructor, which is the highest level, he guides the DriveWise programs. With his advanced credentials and skill set, Ron oversees the curricula development and the instructional delivery of our professional occupation-specific programs. Ron has instructed thousands of personnel in our advanced DriveWise learning environments. Ron is the former proprietor of the Metro Niagara School of Driving. Ron holds an Honors Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph, as well as a Bachelor of Education degree from Brock University.
