Course: 4 hour Defensive Driving Training

Winter in Ontario is the most challenging time of year to drive. Icy roads, blowing snow, and other motorists failing to drive appropriately for these conditions means it is also the perfect time to learn proven driving techniques from our professional instructors.
This 4 hour course instructs drivers in the techniques, skills and attitude required to safely operate a passenger vehicle. Hands-on practice using a mobile, high fidelity, virtual reality simulator supplements theoretical instruction.
The course incorporates many advanced defensive driving techniques geared towards avoiding preventable collisions.
Learning Objectives include:
• Apply defensive driving techniques based on the DriveWise 6 Star Approach
• Recognize adverse driving conditions (including winter driving) and adjust driving accordingly.
• Recognize the situations that lead to loss of control and apply proactive driving techniques to avoid potential problems.
Course Features include:
• In-class case studies
• Group and individual exercises
• Classroom performance system (CPS) quizzes
• Coaching and feedback from instructors during hands on practice of simulated driving scenarios
